Criteria

In the Netherlands, criteria have been developed for the productgroups listed below. The main part of each criteria document including the criteria itself has been translated into English in order to inform foreign interested parties about sustainable public procurement in The Netherlands and the criteria developed so far.

Translation of the Dutch documents is limited to:

the introduction
the description of the productgroup including CPV codes
core criteria and award criteria, including an explanation
suggestions to increase sustainability in the various phases of the purchasing process and afterwards
abbreviations used

If you are interested in more background information and issues that have been considered while developing the criteria, you can find more information in the Dutch criteria documents. You can find these documents by clicking here. Please be aware that their might be a difference in the English and Dutch criteria at some moments. This is due to the fact that it takes some time to adapt the English version to changes that might occur in Dutch documents.

Also available is a Sustainable Public Procurement Manual [pdf, 494 kB], helping in particular public purchasers with implementing the criteria in their tender documents
