Summary

A threatened ban on the use of synthetic coolants prompted Poeliersbedrijf Ep de Graaf to investigate a cooling system using natural coolants. The investigation was carried out by TNO (Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research) and subsidised by Novem. The cooling installation has lived up to expectations in terms of its functioning, it is fault-resistant, and it has additional advantages, such as heat reclamation. The cooling system has proved to be an energy-saving and environmentally friendly system.
