Organisation Our Organisation NL Agency employs about 1,250 people in offices in The Hague, Utrecht, Zwolle and Sittard. Our employees are grouped into three directorates, defined by their areas of expertise: Innovation, Energy and Climate Change, and Environment and Spatial Planning. Each directorate comprises of a number of departments, as shown in the Organization chart [.pdf, 473 kB].
The Directorate for Innovation [.pdf, 437 kB] is driven by demand from companies in the private sector and uses all sorts of instruments to assist them, including: - Strategic services;
- Industry projects;
- Science and education;
- Fiscal and regional innovation and
- Corporate financing.
The Directorate for Energy and Climate Change [.pdf, 454 kB] manages programmes for the International Energy Agency and the European Union. Domestic programmes have international components as well. Programmes and projects involve issues like:
- Energy strategy;
- Energy transition;
- Reducing climate change;
- Adapting building practices and
- Marketing of energy investments.
The Directorate for Environment and Living Surroundings [.pdf, 456 kB] is involved in programmes related to:
- Mobility and spatial planning;
- Soil quality;
- Waste management and
- Social and legal issues related to sustainability.
