Tasks The ETB directs the market (business community), knowledge institutes and civil society organisations, and – from an independent position – helps to encourage the transition to a sustainable energy supply (clean, reliable and affordable).
The ETB tasks can be summarised as follows: - Creating support for Energy Transition by the public and private sectors, as well as developing, implementing, initiating and evaluating transition paths
- Advising the government how best to facilitate the market. The ETB also acts as the collective voice of the market towards the government
- Encompassing international aspects of Energy Transition, and looking at the opportunities for international cooperation
- Encouraging Energy Transition and boosting this by clustering the ambitions, experience and knowledge of private parties
- Indicating where the best developments can be found and which developments should be given priority
- Monitoring the cohesion between the various Energy Transition activities
- Making recommendations to the six government ministries about the implementation of the transition paths
- If required, providing information and reports to the six ministries
