The JI (ERUPT) and CDM (CERUPT) purchase programmes are closed Since 2001 Carboncredits has purchased emission reductions from several projects abroad. Carboncredits is now managing the contracted JI and CDM projects that should contribute to the overall emission reduction target. NL Energy & Climate change has purchased these carbon credits on behalf of the Dutch government and has offered companies: - Financial support for investments in renewables, energy efficiency and methane capture;
- An additional source of income to boost the economic feasibility of projects.
The Carboncredits.nl team works in the field of the Kyoto Flexible Mechanisms ever since 2000. Carboncredits will continue its work on climate mitigation through: - the management and control of the JI and CDM portfolio
- the support c.q. contribution under bi-lateral agreements on procedural and operational guidelines
- feasibility assessment of potential 'climate abatement' projects (FMO)
